Transfer bar for added security

This safety device is commonly found in revolvers with a frame-integrated firing pin. Simply put, the hammer cannot strike the firing pin until the transfer bar is engaged, thus transferring the hammer’s impact to the firing pin. The transfer bar only engages between the hammer and firing pin when the trigger is fully pulled.
