Introducing the G23 Gen5: the new generation of Glock
The Glock G23 Gen5 is the latest addition to the Glock family, bringing the .40 S&W caliber to the forefront. This caliber, known for its use by the American FBI, offers a balanced performance between .45 ACP and 9mm Luger. Glock was instrumental in making this caliber accessible to law enforcement.
Design updates
The Gen5 features significant design changes compared to the Gen4. The finger grooves on the grip have been removed, allowing for more flexible hand positioning. The magazine well is equipped with a funnel to simplify magazine changes. The slide stop lever is now also located on the right side, making it easier for left-handed shooters to use. Improved precision
The Gen5 slide features front serrations and a durable nDLC coating. The side-drift rear sight has a wider notch, allowing more light to reach the eye for taller shooters or in low-light conditions. The newly developed Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) with polygonal rifling provides increased accuracy.
Practical accessories and visibility
Practical accessories can be attached to the underbarrel rail. The orange follower in the empty magazine is immediately visible even in poor lighting conditions. A loaded magazine indicator provides additional information about the weapon’s status.
