MOS – Modular Optic System Configuration.
To simplify the mounting of common optical sights, GLOCK engineers developed the Modular Optic System. Optical sights improve accuracy at short and long ranges, enabling faster target changes and acquisition. The MOS configuration is the best choice for hitting your target. GLOCK pistol models in the standard MOS configuration come with a GLOCK MOS adapter plate (02 = Trijicon RMR) to simplify the mounting of common optical sights.

The design is based on a Modular Back Strap (MBS) grip with an integrated Short Frame Control Block, allowing the shooter to adjust the grip size to their hand size. Grip panel replacement is quick and easy. Using an optional grip panel does not change the grip angle, ensuring consistent accuracy. Additionally, the grip and interchangeable grip panels feature a textured surface (Gen4 RTF finish) for improved grip.

The magazine release is interchangeable, and the contact area has been enlarged, allowing it to be mounted on the right side of the pistol without any additional parts. The Gen4 models are also equipped with a tandem recoil spring, which reduces recoil and extends the spring’s lifespan.
